Volunteer
The Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities to community members in Atchison and the surrounding areas. The volunteer duties may include activities such as cleaning the museum, assisting in the archives, or giving guided tours to visitors. The AEBM welcomes volunteers with a variety of interests and may choose to assist in multiple areas of museum work if they so choose.
Please send your completed volunteer application to asstdirector@ameliaearhartmuseum.org.
Internships
The Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum offers internships to current or recently graduated high school, undergraduate, and masters degree students. Museum staff will work with students to ensure that the internship encompasses the student’s interests.
Records will be kept of their attendance, time worked, and actual work accomplished. Reference letters can be provided to students by the AEBM Staff for their resumes and future job applications.

This is currently an unpaid internship program, however course credit may be granted based on cooperation between the museum and the college or university of the student.
