Update: Have They Found Amelia's Plane?

Short Answer: Not this time.

On Tuesday, November 6th, Deep Sea Vision (the company who previously released a sonar image they suspected was of Amelia's lost Electra) released an update about their search for Amelia Earhart, Fred Noonan, and the Lockheed Electra 10E known as the "Flying Laboratory." This update disappointed many and encouraged many others: the anomaly that they had captured on sonar imaging was in fact merely a plane-shaped rock formation.

This means that there is still no definitive answer to what happened to Amelia and Fred in 1937. There are many organizations and people still seeking answers, including Deep Sea Vision.
